Our journey began on August 13, 2017, at a Pioneer Service School. That’s when I first noticed her — and honestly, I loved her right away. There was something so special about her. Because of the admiration, I could only listen to her comments in the school, and fondly listen as the instructors would make friendly jokes and comments about her, but I couldn't allow myself to glance at her during the class. And at the time, we were both still quite young. So after the class ended, I went back home a bit gloomy, feeling that I might not see such an enchanting person, at least not soon.
Later on, surprisingly life brought us together again, this time in a Chinese congregation during a branch-organized Chinese class. Once again, seeing her felt incredibly special, but again, we were still just too young to think about anything more.
In time, I started serving at the branch office, and interestingly enough, she eventually did too! And not only that — some time after her arrival, we were assigned to the same department. That feels like it's more than just coincidence. Even though we were still young, working together gave me the chance to observe and learn even more about her wonderful qualities.
Naturally, as we spent time working together, deeper feelings started to grow. But because we both deeply respect the seriousness of dating and relationships — especially as a step toward marriage — we made the mature decision to calm those feelings down and limit our conversations. We wanted to make sure everything happened at the right time, in the right way. This cycle happened more than once: feelings would start to surface, and we would kindly pull back, always keeping respect and timing in mind.
Eventually, late 2023, I decided to open my heart and express my feelings to her. However, I found out that she had just been invited to attend the SKE class, so pursuing a relationship wasn’t possible at that time. I understood and waited.
Finally, after her SKE class in 2024, I approached her again — and this time, she accepted! Since then, it’s been the start of an amazing journey: full of love, laughter, adventures, discoveries, and the strongest emotional bond either of us has ever experienced. And now, we’re excitedly walking toward a beautiful future together. 💖
